                    Lesson 1

Problem:                    Answer the following:

There are 60 legs in a garden. There are only children in the garden.

 How many kids are in the garden?

Solution                    Read the above problem carefully

Step 1:      

Solution                    Number of legs = 60

Step 2:                         Since each child has two legs, then

                                    Number of children = 60/2 = 30

Solution                    The answer is:  30 children

Answer the following:

A.	5 people are sharing 50 pennies. How many pennies will each person get?
B.	Mark scored 68 in Science, 94 in Math and 96 in English. What is the total of his scores?
