Solution Replacing value AB with 4 and BC with 3 in above formula we have:
Step 3: AB2 + BC2 = AC2
(5)2 + (3)2 = (x)2
(x)2 = (5)2 + (3)2= 25 + 9 = 34
x= √34 = 5.83
