Given:  Circle O, diameter, marked perpendicular,  TU= 8, find x.

Solution         In a circle, a radius perpendicular to a chord bisects the chord.

Solution So, TU = US

Step 2:

Solution        TU = 8 (given)          

Step 3:

                                                                                    x (or SU) = 8 

Solution        The answer is: 8
