Addition of Matrices Worksheet

Lesson 1

If A and B are two matrices each of order m X n, then their sum  A + B is a matrix of order m X n and is obtained by adding the corresponding elements of A and B.

Problem:                   Add the following:

Step 1: Add the first element of the first table with the first element of the second table.

Step 2: Accordingly, add the second element of the first table with the second element of the second table.

Step 3: Perform addition of all the corresponding elements.
