Problem:       A survey was done asking people about their favorite drink.

The following data was obtained.

Juice	Shake	Coffee	Ice Tea
6	2	4	3

How many people did not choose Shake as their favorite drink?

Solution From the table calculate total number of people i.e. 6+2+4+3 = 15

Step 1:      

Solution From the table, we can see that 2 people chose shake and remaining

Step 2:       chose some other drink

Solution The remaining people who did not chose Shake are 15-2= 13

Step 3: The answer is 13
